Party Chief

Overview of Position:

The Party Chief leads field survey teams in performing land measurements, collecting accurate data, and ensuring compliance with project requirements. As a Party Chief, you’ll play a vital role in leading our field surveying team and oversee all aspects of survey projects, ensuring accuracy and efficiency while maintaining a hands-on approach in the field.

Essential Functions:                                                                                                                                                                                                                 

• Lead and supervise survey crew members in the field.
• Perform and oversee land measurements, including boundaries, elevations, and layouts.
• Operate and maintain surveying equipment (GPS, total stations, etc.).
• Ensure accuracy of collected data and compliance with project specifications.
• Communicate effectively with project managers, engineers, and clients.
• Prepare survey reports, sketches, and documentation.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent (associate or bachelor’s degree in surveying preferred).
• 3+ years of field surveying experience, with leadership responsibilities.
• Proficiency in survey equipment and software (e.g., AutoCAD, GPS systems).
• Strong problem-solving and organizational skills.
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Valid driver’s license.
